Straight Out of the Kiln
Unloading pots from the kiln can feel like Christmas morning. Potters Guild members Ann Suchecki, Suzanne Kent, Alicia Kelly, Debra Lane and Jeannie Silver (along with team member Steve Lally) at the unloading of the wood/salt kiln at Baltimore Clayworks. This successful firing is all the more meaningful because of the low tech/high labor involved in firing with wood. The pots will be available at The Best Holiday Sale Ever the Community Arts Center...

Guerilla Mug Assault November 8 in Philadelphia
What a cool concept.
I snagged this from a Clay Studio email blast....
"On November 8th, teams of volunteers will spread out to coffee houses around the city and give away 500 free mugs to people who are leaving the coffee shops with their paper to-go cups. With this Guerilla Mug Assault, we will also have an opportunity for participants to share their experience via social media and blogs."
