Altering Thrown Pots on the Wheel with Wendy Cotton
Sunday, January 13, 1pm – 4pm
Tired of pots that go round and round? Learn how to make square, oval, rectangular, fluted and swirled pots right on the wheel. Different methods of lip treatment and handles will also be demonstrated. Wendy’s many years of developing “tricks” with clay will be your “tricks”.

Making Simple Whistles with Kim Gutjahr

Boxes, Lids and Feet with Shari Sikora

Learn different skills for all three in one afternoon. you will be shown a variety of techniques for creating a lidded vessel that can be used for anything from a keepsake box to a hand built tea pot. We will also experiment with different items for textures.

Bring your pots, your ceramic concerns large or small, your aesthetic queries grand or tiny, to this panel discussion and work-shop about issues that are of concern to you as you seek to enhance your skills by picking the brains of the finest ceramic minds of the modern era as we lay hands on whatever issues and concerns you wish to delve into. We’ll give you the best of our collective 85 years of messing about with all things mud. Pots, formulae, drawings and techniques and as many stages of the clay process as we can cover will be in play.
